Heritage Museum Computer Instructions

• On-Button – lower front of CPU (big black box under desk)

• Button for monitor is at the lower right hand corner (it may already be on)

• Once Computer powers up, double-click on the “Internet Explorer” icon

• The internet will open to the Brighton-Allston Heritage Museum blog.

• Review the information on this blog and calendar.

• To view other internet site, click the “favorites” across the top line

• A menu of sites will appear

• To get to your email, type the into the “Google” search box your email provider’s address. For example, if you have a Verizon account, type “Verizon email”. This will open choices including “Welcome to Webmail” Now you are at your own sign in box.

• To turn off computer, go to the “Start” button in the lower left hand corner of the screen.

• Click box that says: “Turn off Computer”

• Next screen – Choose “Turn Off”

• Windows will power down automatically

• Turn off the monitor button on the lower right of the monitor screen
